what to expect from games this year

The gaming industry this year has not been spared from Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. In particular, amid the war, Sony stopped supplies to the Russian market. And PlayStation has had a Ukrainian localisation, although game sales have dropped tenfold since the war began.

Ukrainian studio GSC Game World relocated to the Czech Republic and resumed work on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. We have collected ten games for different platforms and esports live betting Vulkan Bet, which will be released in summer 2022.

Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course

The summer will see the release of Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course for Cuphead, a side-scrolling action platformer set in the cartoon style of the 1930s.

In the story, the brothers Caphead and Magman travel to a mysterious island, where they must help Saltbaker, a chef, and are joined there by Miss Chalice. The add-on features new weapons, magic and bosses.

No Man’s Sky

A space simulation game with multiple planets will be released this summer for the Nintendo Switch. The first-person view game lets you explore alien worlds and interact with aliens and other forms of extraterrestrial life. As well as retrieve resources, complete tasks and develop your own ship.

Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed

  • Platform: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X.

Saints Row

Thymesia

Monument Valley

An isometric puzzle game where each level is designed in a different architectural style and has its own puzzles. The player must complete the level-building by pointing to a destination and reacting to multiple events. There’s also a game for Vulkan Bet Overwatch and Monument Valley 2 with a setting in the outside world.

  • Release date: July 12, 2022.
  • Platform: PC, Android, iOS.

Rayman Legends

An exciting platformer about the story of Rayman, who is constantly running somewhere, alternately fighting with enemies. The plot and the game are designed with incredible accuracy – as soon as the player starts to get bored with fast and dynamic levels, the developers slip him smooth musical ones.

The balance of difficulty in Reiman is also in place. The game is imperceptibly complicated, but it is also difficult to call the progress too smooth. At the same time, the need to calculate each jump is reminiscent of the popular Super Meat Boy. What else fascinates in the game:

  • non-linearity of the plot;
  • many labyrinths;
  • Kung Foot mode.

Minecraft

The popular “sandbox” with elements of a survival simulator still breaks records of popularity. And this is not surprising – developers regularly release add-ons.

During the game, one can build any location, up to his house or apartment. Playing it together is a pleasure. The multiplayer is especially good in the battle mode, when you can “kill” enemies from several fronts at once.

Other features of the new Minecraft include:

  • lack of clear goals;
  • simple gameplay;
  • dynamic change of day;
  • mountains, caves, hundreds of crafting products;
  • skins for players;
  • ray tracing.
