The era of Entrepreneurship is coming. With you mind-boggling ideas and some basics, you can change the world. Today I am gonna tell you the super motivational stories of these Indian tech startups, you are using their products or services everyday but don’t know the story behind.

While the majority of India was busy with their daily traditional routine, they were thinking to breakout, do something new and they got what they deserved.

1. Flipkart

Flipkart is the most famous e-commerce website in India. It has a monthly revenue of Rs 2876 Crores. The company was founded by an IITian Sachin bansal and later joined by his brother Binny bansal.

Ohk..you already know it will be in the list. These bansal make India proud and let me buy a pair of sneakers or a new smartphone from my home, in my blanket. People trust flipkart – the best sign of success.

Update: Flipkart has been sold its 77% stacks to Walmart, the e-commerce giant in USA.

2. Ola cabs

Olacabs or Ola is a mobile app for personal taxi service in India. It was founded in 2010 by Bhavish Agarwal and Ankit Bhati. It is one of the fastest growing business in India and currently serves in 85 cities.

Olacabs app work on simple API functioning using GPS to locate you and the olacab near you. However, OLA has suffered from major hack-ins and tech gliches in the past, but the company managed to restore them. Ola bags Startup of The Year award in Economic Times Startup Awards 2015.

3. Snapdeal

Snapdeal stood 3rd in the Indian e-commerce world after Flipkart and Amazon.

Snapdeal is an online marketplace, New Delhi, India. The company was started by Kunal Bahl, a Wharton graduate as part of the dual degree M&T Engineering and Business program at Penn, and Rohit Bansal, an alumnus of IIT Delhi in February 2010.

4. Zomato

Zomato is a restaurant search and discovery service founded in 2008 by Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chaddah. It currently operates in 23 countries, including India, Australia and the United States. It features restaurant information such as scanned menus and photos sourced by local street teams, as well as user reviews and ratings.

The company also provides cashless payment, online ordering, white-label apps, table reservation, and point-of-sale systems. The website’s global rank is 614. (Ours is ~2 Lac)

5. Infosys

Infosys Limited is an Indian multinational corporation that provides business consulting,information technology,
software engineering and outsourcing services. It is headquartered in Bangalore, Karnataka.

Infosys is the second-largest India-based IT services company by 2014 revenues, and the fifth largest employer of H-1B visa professionals in the United States in FY 2013. Its market capitalisation was 263,735 crores ($42.51 billion), making it India’s sixth largest publicly traded company.

6. Tagtile

Tagtile is a unique loyalty and direct marketing solution designed to grow one’s business. It also acts as a customer management solution designed for local businesses. It was started by two IIT graduates, Abheek Anand and Shoham Mazumdar.

Tagtile was a completely unique concept and hence Facebook acquired it in 2010.

7. Hike

Hike Messenger is a cross-platform instant messaging service for smartphones that uses the internet for communication. In addition to text messaging, users can send each other graphical stickers, emoticons, images, videos, audios, files, voice messages, contacts and user location.”Got a gang? Get on hike.”.

I personally recommend hike over Whatsapp. It’s indigenous after all. Natasha, what a creation!

8. Quickr

Quikr is an Indian classified advertising platform. It was founded by Pranay Chulet in 2008, and as of 2013 reported 12 million listings. Headquartered in Bangalore, Quikr has a listings in over 1,000 cities in India in categories such as mobile phones, household goods, cars, real estate, jobs, services and education.
